Lisa Brough is a prominent biomagnetism practitioner based in Woody Point on the Redcliffe Peninsula in Queensland, Australia. She is the owner of Biomagnetism Australia and has been deeply involved in the field of natural therapies for many years, with a particular focus on Biomagnetism since 2014. Her journey into Biomagnetism began after she experienced personal health challenges, including hypothyroid symptoms that conventional medicine couldn’t resolve. After two years of struggling with extreme fatigue, feeling cold, and rapid weight gain—despite normal blood test results—she was diagnosed by a naturopath. However, it was biomagnetism that ultimately alleviated her symptoms after just three sessions, sparking her passion for this modality.
Lisa’s background is rooted in fitness and wellness. She initially worked as a Fitness Professional and Personal Trainer, where she became interested in natural therapies after seeing the benefits her clients experienced with naturopathy, acupuncture, and bodywork. This led her to explore and train in various modalities, including Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Reiki (where she became a Reiki and Seichim Master), SCENAR Therapy for pain and injury recovery, Biosignature Modulation for body fat and hormone optimization, and later, Biomagnetism. Her formal education includes a Bachelor of Human Movement Science (BHMS), which provided a foundation for her work in health and wellness.
In 2014, Lisa traveled to California to train directly with Dr. Isaac Goiz Duran, the founder of Biomagnetic Pair Therapy, becoming one of the first three Australians to bring this modality back to the country. She completed Level 1 training and began practicing immediately, offering over 100 free sessions to hone her skills. Since then, she has expanded her expertise, completing Level 2 Bioenergetics with Moises Goiz Martinez in 2017, Microbioenergetics certification with Dr. Miguel Ojeda Rios in 2016, and training in Biomagnetic Neuropsychology. Today, biomagnetism constitutes about 80% of her practice, with the remaining 20% involving EFT, SCENAR, and intuitive services.
As the owner of Biomagnetism Australia, Lisa not only works as a practitioner but also plays a significant role in supporting the broader Biomagnetism community. She offers appointments in Woody Point, Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, and other locations by special arrangement. Since 2018, she has provided one-on-one mentoring and private lessons to new practitioners, and since July 2022, she has held 30 online group mentoring sessions. Lisa also facilitates beginner workshops to introduce biomagnetism to potential practitioners and clients, and she has presented talks on the modality at wellness expos, festivals, and podcasts.
Lisa is a co-organizer of the Australian Biomagnetism Conference, which she has helped run in 2022 and 2023 alongside Rachel Crossingham. The conference, held on Zoom, has been well-received by English-speaking Biomagnetists, with Brough presenting talks on topics like Simplified research studies, Marketing for biomagnetism, and Practitioner survey results. She also created a group experience called the “Magnetic Sound Session,” combining sound bowl healing with Biomagnetic pairs, which serves as an introduction to the therapy and a powerful experience in it's own right.
In addition to her practice and educational efforts, Lisa has developed resources for the Biomagnetism community, including general brochures for practitioners and a supply of Biomagnetic Pair magnets made in Australia. She has also conducted a weight loss trial using the Microbioenergetics protocol in 2016, reflecting her earlier experience as a personal trainer focused on weight loss and motivational psychology.
Biomagnetism, is a holistic therapy that uses medium-intensity magnets to balance the body’s pH levels, creating an environment where pathogens like bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites cannot thrive. About Biomagnetism
Biomagnetism is an exciting new complimentary therapy introduced to Australia in 2014. This system created by Dr Isaac Goiz Duran of Mexico enables the Biomagnetism practitioner to detect and correct alterations in the body's pH.
Medium intensity magnets are used to "scan" the body, looking for a response from the body to identify if a polarity is present. The negative charge found shows an area of Alkalinity, and the positive charge show Acidity. These two areas make up what is known as a "Biomagnetic Pair". Leaving the magnets in place for 15mins causes neutralization of the charges, returning the tissues to correct energy level required for wellness. As the whole body is scanned, several Biomagnetic Pairs may be found and eliminated.
The types of Biomagnetic Pairs:
1 Regular BMP's identify pathogenic microorganisms (virus, bacteria, fungi or parasites).
2 Special BMP's are alterations not supported by pathogenic microorganisms.
3 Dysfunctional BMP's affect glands and hormone production.
4 Reservoir BMP's are locations which support microorganisms for possible future re-infection.
5 Personal Pairs are specific imbalances to the individual
6 Emotional Pairs are psychological, emotional and spiritual in their effects.
7 Reciprocal Pairs are those with both acid and alkaline polarities at each location.
8 Temporary Pairs are due to injury and healing.
9 Associated Pairs are related to degeneration, syndromes, conditions and tumors.
Biomagnetism has been known to help a wide variety of people of all ages and is free of side effects.

The History of Biomagnetism
Dr Isaac Goiz Duran first attended training in Biomagnetism in 1988 and learned of the role of the hydrogen ion in health and disease. He then set to work using these principles in his practice along with modern medicine. It was not long before he found correlations between people with specific medical conditions and the location of the pH imbalances in their bodies. The first discovered and treated was a patient with AIDS.
The pH imbalances were always found in pairs - an area of acidity, and one of alkalinity that are energetically stable, until neutralized by magnetic fields. This pair is known as a "Biomagnetic Pair".
Further discovery of Biomagnetic Pairs is ongoing, and there are now Biomagnetic Pairs associated with many pathologies and dysfunctions.
